Elsa as a young girl Let it go

Hi Abby! I am not critiquing the style today, just the concept and time put into this drawing. ^.^

Originality: SEVERAL young Elsas have been drawn up to to this very day. But i have YET to see a young Elsa that's NOT wearing what the movie put her into. You incorperated her FINAL dress design into her as a child, which i find very cool and unique, so i gave it 5 stars.

Technique: Though Abby, you have a very loveable and intersting style that i find nice to look at, but this so-called deviant art "technique" thing seemed to be a bit.... well, i guess "off." The coloring was one of the main reasons for this. It pokes out of the lineart in lots of different places, and there are some spots that haven't even been colored in fully. I gave it 3 stars because it lacks of many important parts, but it is still a good piece.


Impact: Impact is how well you delivered the art to the person viewing, and how well it catches their eye, correct? Well, i think you did a fairly good job on this, it sure attracted MY eyes and ENOUGH to force me to write you a critique. One of the good things about the impact is that you included some shading, which is great, it adds a realistic effect to the drawing. You usually don't add shading into your digital pieces, so i thought that this was good. Though, maybe hard-cell shading might have been more appropriate for this Elsa. One more thing, Elsa's ice powers WERE hard-cell, and in this case THIS is where you should have made something transparent. Ice is clear, i think that this would have made your drawing have a little extra "realistic" staple to it. But, nice job adding some snowflakes, it somewhat made this icier. Overall, i give a 3 stars and a half for the impact.


I hope that this was a fair review Abby, and don't take this too harshly, just my opinion! But overall OVERALL, i gave this a solid 3 stars and a half. Good art, just a lot of things that needed to prove that you spent hard work on this.
